Asphalt Aluminum Paint Français
Superior quality aluminum paint CR-80 is formulated with resins and a large quantity of aluminum powder. This asphalt based paint gives, once dry, a reflective, glossy and durable finish. It reduces temperature absorption and delays supports contraction and dilatation. Excellent protector against UV and oxidation for roofs, flashings, metal structures etc. You can also use on any other stable bituminous coating as CR-300, CR-340, coal tar coatings and flashing or on metal surfaces which have a very dry primer or paint.
Surface Preparation
Avoid use if showers are foreseen. Surfaces must be structurally sound, clean, dry and free of dust, dirt, rust, oil, grease, flakes and other contaminants. Old paints or coatings must be in good condition and strongly adhered. Previously, fill holes, cracks and week spots with Condor CR-320 Rubberized plastic cement.
Stir well before using. Apply with a squeegee, a brush, a roller or a paintbrush. Avoid over-brushing. First, apply a coat on overlaps and nails than, apply a coat uniformly all over the surface. We recommend two coats of 0.25 to 0.50 L/m² (1 gallon covers ± 130 ft²) per coat depending on surfaces. To ease application in cold season, keep product in a warm place.Do not apply if showers are foreseen or if there is a possibility of dew point before it is completely dry. Humidity can tarnish freshly applied coating. Direct application of product over felt coatings may affect its coating and result in sag of the felt on slope surfaces. Do not apply on wet surfaces. Protect freshly applied product and open container from open flame and adjacent welding activity.Make sure that bituminous surfaces or coal tar coatings are stable, completely dry and free of volatile residues.
Clean tools and equipment with mineral spirits.
